Our history
The founder of Fliwer is the entrepreneur and engineer of Girona R&D, Marc Capilla. Mark was born in Palafrugell and, since he was a child, he has been a lover of technology and nature. Marc studied Information Systems Engineering at the UdG; he has a master’s degree in Industrial Informatics, Automation, Computing and Systems for the same UdG and Master’s in Software Engineering and Management by the UPC. He also has experience in robotics, artificial hindi and artificial intelligence.
He started his professional career at Sony. While he worked in the Japanese multinational Marc already had in mind that, in the future, he would want to create his own project, a project where he could combine his two passions: technology and its purpose to improve the world and the planet with each of its contributions from him.
And it was during these years that Marc began to develop and prototype the idea of his future business.
A project idea with a leitmotif: make life easier people and, at the same time, bring benefits ecological and sustainability for the planet.

The (his)story continues
In 2010, Marc left Sony to join Veridentia, an innovative technology startup Located in the Science and Technology Park of the UdG dedicated to the health sector. in veridentia he developed a unique and innovative security system in the transport and correct allocation of the bags of blood for transfusions (hemovigilance) based on RFID technology.
With a great vocation for the creation and improvement of innovative and high-tech products, with so only 25 years old, Marc left Veridentia, constituted his his own company (Inolve Newtech) and created and presented Ecofriend (now Fliwer). With Ecofriend, Marc participated in the Foundation’s Yuzz Awards Banesto, a national contest that rewards the best entrepreneurial projects. From among more than 200 initiatives, Ecofriend received the award for Best Project Yuzz 2011 and got 10,000 euros to start it up.
In 2015, Marc was awarded as the best Entrepreneur from Spain. Since then, with great enthusiasm and motivation, Marc has worked very hard leading Fliwer for being able to help people and contribute to making the world a better place.
"During these 10 years, the road has been full of curves but where usually people see difficulties or moments difficult I see challenges and opportunities to learn, Create and/or innovate. Always."

We can no longer do things like before.
It’s time to evolve, to change… for us, for the planet.
We have to go one step further to make irrigation and
plant care more efficient and sustainable.
And it is obvious that we need help to manage it.
Someone to remind us of what is really important and to
make the right decisions for us. Someone really smart
who leads the way to a new way of managing limited
resources.
No more wasting.
It’s time to do it intelligent!
